Haere mai and welcome to a special dinner to celebrate Puanga – the Māori New Year.

Puanga is a time to gather cherished ones to reflect on the present, celebrate the past, and plan for the future. This Puanga, Haukai Bistro & Bar will present an immersive gastronomic evening, hosted by Puna Wano-Bryant and with special guest Pounamu Skelton.

Echoing the ethos of love for the land and respect for the sea, Haukai Bistro & Bar Executive Chef Richard Ponder, has crafted a menu designed around the stars from the Puanga cluster. The ingredients for the menu, has been locally sourced from Parihaka Pa and garlic provided by PKW from their locally grown garlic farm. 

This extraordinary six-course degustation will create an unforgettable and magical evening of celebration and culinary indulgence.
